Anyone used a CVA Optima V2 pistol?

Oh, my 300 pistol (150 grains at 2850 fps) doesn't kick all that bad. The guy who made it built a really intelligently designed muzzlebrake for it. Honestly, the same gun but with a 12", non-ported 270 Winchester barrel (150 grains at 2380 fps) kicks worse. Then there's my 14" Performance Center Model 460, with its 200 grain bullets travelling at 2650 fps for 3100 ft-lbs of muzzle energy - now that sucker will rise up off the bench quite a ways if I limp wrist it.

I have shot my 45cal 350gr HP out of my Flintlock Lyman Deerstalker with a Harvester Sabot and they shot pretty well. Naturally I don't have a scope on my Deerstalker, but with my old eyes and iron sights at 50yds I was pleased with the results and would not hesitate using them.

I can't imagine it recoiling all that much even with a heavy charge. I owned and shot Contenders in 35 rem and a BFR in .45-70. But the worse "kicker" I have is a lightweight Taurus 44 mag with 4" bbl. I enjoy shooting my S&W 29, but this Taurus with full house loads really gets your attention. I use it as my back up for bear when hunting with the muzzleloader.

Watch this goober load a Traditions ML pistol. Hell yeah just beat it down on top of that pellet.
This is one thing i don't care for in ML pistols. They do feel odd loading a sabot, especially if the sabot is tight. That is why i want a 45cal and a easy loading bullet like Ed's 350gr conical. No short starter would be needed at all.

LOL
The 300 gr .452 XTP/crushrib goes right on down my Optima pistol without a short starter and with blackhorn there is no crud ring and just keep on shooting. Yes, I'm spoiled by my Whites... (White owners will know what I'm talking about.)
I tried triple seven powder which did need a short starter. 209 primers are too hot IMO, good thing BH came along.
