Remove the breech plug using the tool provided. NOTE: A standard
12MM socket wrench may also be used to remove the breech plug

page 7 for conventional and bolt action. Tighten breech plug and nipple until snug.

Just as I suggested, call/email your muzzle loaders Manf. and ask for info regarding your breech plug and how much torque they recommend when reinstalling the plug.

Yep, always use the tightening tool, even if you are only turning it slowly until it stops.
When I used seizing 777 powder, the T/C brand left enough grace room for me to tighten until stop, then back-off a half turn. The hammer door will still shut sufficiently on my Omega this way.
Doing it this way allowed me enough grace room when the plug seized. I was able to go in reverse and actually tighten the plug more, in order to crack the seizure and remove the frozen plug.

Just another unsung advantage of using Blackhorn powder....Even if the threads are totally gunked up with burnt debris, when shooting Blackhorn, the breech plug is still readily removable.
