I recently bought an optima v2 and was wondering if all the new optima v2's had the nitride coating? iv looked on the packaging and box and on the gun itself and it doesn't say anything about it. Is all the barrels nitride or is it only offered? thanks

no not all of them have it. If its nitride it certainly will say it on the box. Yours is probably the blued version.

Look for a product called birchwood casey hopper spit. Its an awesome product for blued barrels to keep rust off.

It won't say it on the gun. It will say it on the box on the end flap. If it's black it has it.

My optima V2 with nitride barrel came with a tag attached saying it was a nitride barrel. The model number will tell you, mine is PR2023NSSC. I believe the N stands for the nitride models.
