i' ve been grouping my 45 and the best groups i can get is shooting 777 60 grain i' m not weighing it i' m using a measuring gauge and i was wondering will this amount of powder produce enough power to deer hunt with cause i was under the impression that i needed at least 80 or 90 grain of 777 to really get good knockdown i' m shooting 180 grain bullet what do you guys think do i need to go up or will it be safe thanks alot.

if you are wanting to take a shot at 150 yards, i would suggest using a heavier load, you would not have sufficient knockdown power at that distance with 60 grains, i shoot my loads at 100 grains, and i get groups touching at 50 yards, so id probably have 1" groups at 100 yards, i like to stay close to the game im hunting, just for extra assurance
