Scott, thanks for the info. I'll have him check out the power rod.
The GI would just end up being the same length as his factory rod is. I guess if he can't find an extendable that fits, he'll just have to use a T handle or not worry about it.

The Knight rod is too thin, won't stay in the gun.


Muley, thanks for the input. I wonder if the Apex extendable rod is the same rod as the CVA extentable. ?? Seems like any extendable could easily be cleaned if it was starting to get fouling on it. I have not had that issue with my Knight rods.

Semi & Toy...good ideas, I'll pass along. I think the T handle is probably his best bet at this point. Doesn't seem like a extendable rod that fits properly is gonna be easy to find.

Cabelas carries them in store if he want to see one in person. Not sure if they will have the Omega specific rod or not in store though.

I have the Omega and use both a Spin Jag and T-Handle. They allow plenty of room for working the next load, when using the original factory ramrod.

What T7 said..... I use same (SpinJag and a screw-in T handle). Works great.
