That would be your best bet. I would also quit using cold water cleaning Goex.

Curious what scope you have. I bought a new Encore years ago and had a pretty cheap Traditions brand scope. The gun was awesome the first 5 years or so then it got gradually worse. I tried everything and eventually bought a new Leupold scope. That brought it right back where it should be.

I think cleaning with water might be causing tiny amounts of rust build up which could affect your accuracy

Matt, if you clean and oil properly, soap and water is a very good option for cleaning BP and T7 and Pyro. Been cleaning MLers for more years than most you fellas have been alive with soap and water. Always use HOT HOT HOT water. The hottest you can tolerate. Makes evaporating and drying the water 100 times easier. I use that Otis stuff only every so often. No need to use it for every cleanup. Since I went to Blackhorn I now use Hoppes on my PH BP barrel but I still use soap and water on my old Hawken. Never had a rust issue with any of my BP firearms. Light coat of oil after cleaning and drying and all good.

i believe the vx1 had its share of issues with tracking and holding up. The vx2 was a nicer upgrade. Have you considered trying open sights or another scope?

Might try another scope. I have a VX2 1-4X20 but it's on my crossbow right now.

I appreciate the heads up on this product. Sometimes-where plastic is concerned-I've felt like my cleaning regimen has been lacking. I will give some of the PL a try and see how it does.

I am considering the 16oz. bottle. Super, does this product have longer shelf life concerns?

Default Can't help you

I only cleaned a muzzleloader with homemade "moosemilk" and it used more than water.
