That is a real nice rifle. They should shoot good.

The Parker Hale is supposed to shoot Minie's really well because of the progressive depth rifling. The Zouave is great with patched balls. But I never got it to group Minie's to my satisfaction.

What the heck did you do - hit the lottery or something? Either that or your wife is out of town...lol

So I don't feel so bad now. At least now I know someone else has the addiction. Ya might wanna slow down cause if the wife is out of town she will come back and you might not be a happy camper...lol... Great looking rifle there Semi. I hope you enjoy both of your new toys.

I have the same problem. If I look around and find a sweet underpriced gun, I have to buy it. I tell the Wife I can always sell them but they seem to go.

I have downsized to a seven rifle gun safe. My inventory is currently at six.
I have two 1:28 twists because my grandson is joining the hunt. I have a 1:66 twist for reaching back in yesteryear hunts. I have two centerfires (.270 / .300WSM) and one shotgun with an extra rifled barrel.

I have room for one more in my safe and that may someday be a 45-cal Knight with fast 1:20 twist. That'll offer me a wide array....... 1:20/..... 1:28/.....1:66. Never been a fan of the 1:48s, which shoot most-everything alright, but nothing specifically really good.

Sold all my 54 and 58-cals. Only hunt deer and smaller game. Only desire guns that will see every year or every-other-year hunting woods, which here in Michigan is November 15-30 ..... then again a 10 day muzzleloader season in early-mid December.

Concerning myself and not grandson, two muzzleloaders and two centerfires are plenty for that short hunting season. Seems crazy when reading some posters here have 30-40+ MLs, even three useable models that are exactly the same.

To me, that's ridiculous.
