And that 250gr PB retained how much weight in the same test?

Oh yeah, about 170gr vs nearly 100% on this PR 40cal bullet. Its sure is over expanded in my book but at least it still has a recognizable shank left.

This is just sad considering the price.

At $8/12,,,yes it performed better but nothing to rave about.

It also had the least amount of penetration of all bullets. See the Rons test results 8/23/15 thread. Post #15

Never had a lost animal with the 245 or 250gr powerbelt. Water is a torture test plain and simple.

Dont shoot fish with them then .

I love this quote regarding PBs. You don't need to make this stuff up.

The powerbelt is a pure lead "soft" conical with a massive hollow point that prevents it from penetrating, and 99% of the time, fragment its hundreds of little pieces.

this kind of fragmentation should not be happening. But again, soft lead with a HUGE hollow point, what did the engineer expect was going to happen?
Seems like it did not happen with the PR 260gr lead Extreme Elite that cost much less.

Well, im off to the range to shoot some more SAY-BO-LESS boolits. Gunna try Ed's cheap little lead .451 350gr HP conical.

when pushed with magnum charges and close range shots. You are forgetting that in my younger years ive shot the 295 and 245s with 150gr LOOSE pyrodex rs and got very little expansion but the shots were 140+ yards away and both deer dropped.

Those quotes were from 2013 and they were not 150gr charges. :D

A while ago you wrote a thread after a successful deer hunt. In that thread you posted photo of the deer. The powerbelt blew up on the facing hide. Me, i wrote, and thanked you for posting that photo, because it told me i never had to purchase that bullet.

Not long ago, a test of what i believe was the same bullet was done. The test just about exactly replicated, what the bullet did on your deer.

You are barely out of diapers now . Some of us are almost ready to go back in them :)

doesnt matter what you or anyone else thinks lol, that bullet destroyed the inside of the deer and the video of the recovery was even better.
