Its basically the same bullet, just a different weight (and apparently MUCH different composition - based on performance of the 350gr)

Yes, I was talking about the appearance after striking the water. We were saying the same thing only different.

I thought it would have been like the copper 300 also but it definitely looks like a bonded core.

I like what i see.

I would like to see this bullet with a serious hunting load and groups with the 80gr load.

I just wonder if that there bullet would be the ONE that I could actually lighten my loads. Say down to 80-85 grains BH. Getting a little tired of getting my shoulder hammered at the bench but my old girl just hasn't found one she likes with anything less than 100.

I have two questions?

1) No way this is same construction as the 270 copper. Looks to be a lead alloy to me as well. What does the package say? I wondered why there were cheaper than the 270s.

2) Where did you get this bullet? The only place I can find that lists them is Midway and they are backordered (which you alluded to) Anyone else know where they might be for sale?

Impressive test and results. I have never shot that bullet. Need to put that one on the bucket list. Thanks for the test.

" Like other projectiles in the proven Trophy Copper line, the copper-alloy bullet features a polymer tip, with a deep, hollow cavity and skiving that allows for consistent, devastating expansion."

Copper-Alloy

I am impressed. Wish they were available

Next test: 90 and 100 gr?
