GM54-120, Thank you for that information. I knew they did not use the same steel as the modern high powered rifles have in them but really do not have any data.

Also

85gr by weight and a 40-200gr sabot load produces around 22Kpsi in a 45cal. Most of this data was taken from a Pacnor 45 1-22 with a Savage breach plug. The 350gr bullet load was tested by Swinglock in one of his custom built rifles shooting a full formed aka pre-engraved bullet. That 350gr bullet and 85gr by weight clocked right at 2000fps.
