I've taken deer with 3 different ML's.
My original MK-85 that I got in the early 90's has done most of the work, probably around 20 or so with that one gun. I have 2 guns right now that I've never taken one with, that is my goal for next season!

I only have one and that is my T/C Hawken .50 cal flintlock. I've carried it for many years and I really would have to sit down and count the number of deer I have taken with it. I have others that have taken one deer and another that has taken a deer and a feral cat (if you want to count that)!

Got back into muzzleloader hunting in 1999 with a borrowed gun. Bought a cheap CVA StagHorn rifle in 2000.

.50 CVA StagHorn: About 25 deer and dozens of hogs.

.50 Encore: About 20 deer and dozens of hogs.

.50 TC New Englander: Two deer and a few hogs using patched round ball.

.54 TC New Englander: One deer and a few hogs using patched round ball.

.54 TC FireHawk: One or two deer and several hogs using patched round ball.

In my next life, I'm hoping to be fortunate enough to have a nice spread of private wooded land.

Well...

If the Muslims get 72 virgins... maybe us good ol' boys will get 72 firearms (our choosing of course). LOL!!

How about 7 firearms and 200 acres?

Blackpowdersmoke....

I have a Muslim cat that wants to be friends with those 72 Virgins.

Semisane's idea of seven firearms and 200 acres works for me. As long as the land isn't in the middle of Death Valley.

Whoooee... I dunno Semi. I'd probably be alright with the 200 acres, but trying to pick just 7 firearms? MAN!!! That would be a tough one!
