I cant seem to find any actual chrono data from RW on his website with 120gr of BH209. He only states the numbers from Federal. You would imagine the fan boy would have chronoed that data and posted it IF it matched Federals numbers.
Im a bit skeptical of the 2200fps claim with just 120gr by volume. My 45 shot sabotless with 84gr by weight is a bit over 2100fps and 45s are typically more efficient with similar bullet weights. My barrel is also longer than the 24" test barrel. TB seems to despise the BOR and he also does not give any actual chrono reading with 120gr of BH209. His site isn't the easiest to navigate so maybe i missed it. It should be noted that TB is now singing the praises of the Aerolite and sponsored by CVA. His track record reveals why this bit of info is relevant to his review of the BOR. RW hasn't posted any data about the newer 350gr lead version other than what Federal has provided. He does not appear to be thrilled or in any hurry to test it. No surprise there. I don't think he has posted any actual tests with pellets in the new Rem either. We all know how much he loves pellets and lead full bore projectiles. I didn't see any 350gr BOR info on TBs website either. |
I don't blame him on the Aerolite. That's one mean bullet in 300gr version.

Yet his glowing reviews ONLY came about AFTER CVA "got on board" as a sponsor. ;)

I guess its like They say " you tell a lie long enough and loud enough and people will believe it . And the bigger the lie the better" . Spanish guns are proof of that |
get some experience with that 300gr aerolite, its really a beast when it hits something. Its just knocks animals flat over.
i cant answer for toby but ive been using them since 2002 i believe. Ive certainly changed bullets over the years but not due to failures but more of wanting to test things out and see how such and such does. |

I know it but for hunting, its different. Target practice, expensive as hell but come hunting season, its one package and it will last a few hunts. They were $35 for my dads elk hunt but that was easy to swallow once that rifle went off and we spent the next 6-7 hours packing it out.
You hit a deer in the shoulder or lungs, its a murder scene when you go to butcher it lol. |
