Very accurate. Took about 20 shots to zero it in. 1 ragged hole at 25 yds. 2" group at 50. I guess it wont take much to break her in.

Johnny Reb,

Nice lookin' rifle!! It looks more like a Tennessee "poor boy" or "mountain rifle" style than it does any of the Pennsylvania style rifles, they were usually much more elaborate. Was it originally sold by Dixie Gun Works? Just curious...

That is the same place that built my Early Lancaster. They did a great job and its a fantastic shooter. Good luck with your rifle. I am thinking of ordering a Jaeger Rifle in .58 caliber. Not because I need one mind you. I just want one. But I also have thought of a Southern Mountain Poor Boy in a .32 caliber... just for plinking and small game hunting.

Matt Avance does do fine work, I do like the looks of their Jaeger rifles, I would also like me one of those in 58 caliber. That would be an awesome big game getter.
