You have a Renegade with a QLA? I didn't even know they made them. Never saw one. They must have done that at the end of production.

I never had any consistent results with the MaxiHunter bullet. My Renegades shot lights out with Maxiballs. I also tried a bullet called Buffaloballs (or something like that, they were a waxed conical), and they were about the same as MaxiHunters. My thought was that they were not engaging the rifling as well as the Maxiballs. The front band on the Maxiball is oversized a bit, and really engraves into the rifling at the muzzle.

For years the 320 gr Maxihunter was all I shot out of my GM fast twist flinter barrel. They shot well with 100 gr of FFFg and pretty much smashed any bone they hit. Of course my shot rarely exceeded 50 yards. These days I use saboted 300 gr XTPs.
