Default Getting ready!! Opening day is 12/07/13!!

Heading to the range with a buddy on Tuesday to re-sight all of our bows and firearms.... Will be a fun-filled day for sure!!!. Just deciding to sight the Omega @ 50yards or 100yards. Most shots will not be around 50-75 yards, but I like the idea of having the 100yard range option for hunting cut fields if the opportunity arises. I was getting 1/2" cloverleafs @ 100yrds (off a weighted rest) last time I was dialed in @ 100. CAN"T wait for sure!!!!

They also have an excellent archey range with elevated platforms. This will give me a great chance to re-adjust my speed-ring on the Vari-Zone on my Excal.

Indianas ML season starts next weekend as well. I have killed to doe's this year already with my Encore, I use it during our firearms season. I haven't carried a shot gun in about 7 years (I think that is when I got my Encore).

I just sighted in my gpr a few hours ago. I had it dialed in for the past couple of years and for some reason this time it shot low at 100 yards. So I practiced at 50 yards for awhile and it is stacking round balls at that range. Went back to 100 yards and it is shooting about 6" low. I think I am going to leave it there. I should be able to get within 50-75 yards of a deer, but if I cant I will just have to remember that magic mark at 100 yards.

How much powder are you shooting. 6 inch drop from 50-100 yards seems like a lot to me. I don't know though. Mine had about 6 inches drop going out to 175 yards.
