The hunter becomes the hunted.

A 150 lb. Mountain Lion was hit by a car a few years back not far from where I hunt.

Last January I was hunting the morning after an all night rain. Once it got light enough to see the ground, I could see that a big cat had been through the field since the rain. We must have been there within minutes of each other. The walk back through the dense forest had me on my toes.

It does make you think twice as one slips through the darkness. I try to keep a tree to my back when hunting these days.
