Default Patched Round Ball Bang Flop

Gun: TC New Englander .50 caliber
Cap: Winchester #11 magnum
Powder: 80 grains of 3F Pinnacle
Projo: .490 patched round ball

Today was the first day of Ft. Sill muzzleloder season; conventional guns only. Went out early this morning. It was very windy. i did see two does and a fawn about 100 yards away. They had winded me and were running.

At about 17:30 i got into a good tree stand overlooking a game trail. At 18:35 a doe and big fawn came down the trail. Neither was stopping. i made the baaaa sound and she stopped about 35 yards away. i immediately fired. The doe hit the ground, kicked a few times and lay still.

The ball did not exit.

It looks like that ball really did a number. Nice sized doe too. Congratulations on an old school score.
