nice shot, our early ml season starts nov 3 here in north ms. does only. i can hardly wait to try out my new 54 t/c hawken. The only prb i have recovered was from a wild hog and it was the size of a 50 cent coin the 50 cal. .490 balls shot into deer always exit.

Thanks, everyone. i feel better about using patched round ball. Hope to give the .54 TC FireHawk a workout when OK ML season opens on the 26th of October.

Yesterday i talked with the friend the deer was given to. The ball was found just under the skin on the off side. It had hit bone and was "split". Another friend may have the ball.

Due to the tall tree stand and the doe being downhill from the stand, the ball angled through the deer.
