Now before you blast me on the Kids getting to go out early, they say it's so they can experience hunting. Well if the want to experience hunting then this is no way to get them interested in it, they'd think every time they went hunting they'd see all the deer they did when they were allowed to hunt for that one weekend during archery season when the deer are un pressured. But then when they go hunting and experience what's it's really like when you sit there all day and never see anything some times for days then they'd be really disappointed. I say leave it alone.

Breechplug,

You're right about that. Ever since Pa. started it's early ML season, the bucks become a LOT more skittish after it opens. We also have the youth and senior 3-day antlerless regular firearms season rolled into that same week. I love to hunt with a ML and I'm all about kids having opportunities to hunt, but in my opinion the early season be an either sex season that falls between the archery and regular firearms seasons. That way the seasons would progress from primitive to modern as they should. Not trying to hijack...just my opinion.
