XTP-MAG on coyote?

Barnes with the big hollow points (Expander MZs and some XPBs) open up very fast but i would not waste them on yotes. The 45LC-225gr XPB is especially explosive on impact even at upper end 45Colt speeds.

Thanks for the info. I agree a shoulder shot on a coyote is probably the best idea with what ever deer bullet I happen to have at the time. But the Barnes bullets performance just looks interesting. Might be my project for the spring. $1 + a shot i know.

Might want to try some of the cheaper semi-jacketed hollowpoints. I think they expand better than most of the ballistic tipped bullets. Just my observations on deer anyways. I was having trouble with expansion and switched with improved results. Don't know how they would work on yotes though. If your gun will shoot them well enough some Maxi-Balls or Maxi-Hunters should do the trick though.
