Default finally had it with the lock on my cva project hawken

I been fighting with the lock on my cva project hawken for 3yrs, thinking it was a stripped screw. I got some screws. while working on it I found that the sear spring was shot, the lock plate was needing a good polish, the tumbler was wrong, the sear was rubbing on the lock plate, the tumbler was wearing a groove in the lock plate.

just order a new l&r lock and be done with it.

when I am done shooting, I lube with remoil, or a silicon based lube.

here's what I found, sear has a hair like crack in the eyelet, grooves cut into the plate by moving parts. (sear and tumbler) pitting on the plate (where there when I bought the darn lock.

I had a plan to revive the lock and mod it for a project. just too much wrong with it. should be able to use a few parts for back up for my 50cal.
wear marks shows up well where the sear is.

sear

the crack on sear
