I've read the Napa oil is not what it used to be when that formula was first posted. If it doesn't work out. You might try using Ballistol instead.

Is it ok to mix murphy's, rubbing alcohol and peroxide together and make a cleaner for blackhorn. I would like to make some myself or is just simple green ok. I use simple green and orange glow is the moose milk better?

MAP is better.

Murphy's Oil Soap 20%
Alcohol 40%
Hydrogen Peroxide 40%

Great for swabbing/cleaning but don't leave it on surfaces, dry swab then lube

Also is a terrific hand cleaner and softener. Leaves your hands baby smooth.

.454, I've never tried MAP on BH209 fouling - but I will some of these days. I've just been using Hoppes #9 for that powder. Not kidding about the hand cleaning quality - try it.
