So a nice buck walks into a bar and the bartender says "What's with the long face?" Wow, that buck has a really long snout. Nice buck and congrats on the harvest! The rack has a really nice and unique color. That would be a monster buck in the area I hunt...

Congrats. Looks like the same picture you have in your Avitar. Did you you shoot them both in the same spot?

Great buck! I almost went out this weekend, but decided to just wait til muzzleloader season opens at the end of the month. The last couple years it seems like the place has just been crawling with hunters and it really hasn't been worth being out. Last night my wife and I were talking about how there really weren't many hunters out this year and I was wishing I would have gone out. Oh well, it's only a few more weeks.

Thanks guys and no it did not exit. It went thru the opposite shoulder and was just underneath the hide. It looked just like its supposed to, exactly like a flower.

This one was shot in the same area as the one on my avatar, about a quarter mile away. The avatar buck I killed in 2007 and this is the first buck I've shot since then. There are obviously very strong genetics in our hunting area as every adult buck we see or kill is a main frame 8. We haven't shot a buck with more than 8 points in probably 10 yrs. The avatar buck weighed exactly the same as this one. 176 lbs. dressed and it did have a very long snout.
