Fired My Encore Today
#1
After planting some game plots went to the range and tried patched round balls in my Encore. Tried 60 and 70 grains of Pinnacle 2F and 3F powder and patched round balls using a grease cookie and without a grease cookie. Best 50 yard 3 shot group was around 6". So much for that endeavor.
Swabbed the bore and and loaded the gun with 100 grains of Pinnacle 3F and the 250 grain Shockwave. No swabbing between shots.
Distance: 75 yards.

I think Muley might be on to something. Shooting a RB in a 1-28 twist can be something akin to fun as it spins the dang ball so fast - irregularities in the make of the ball really show up.
For Rondy events I am using a 1-48 twist Renegade and have dropped the powder to 60 grains and it works great. With a 1-28 I would think it would take an even further reduction...
But of all things do not go by me.... I am far from being or possessing a lot of information about shooting PRB's...
