powder
I personally used to use Pyrodex pellets a few years ago. When Blackhorn came out I tried it for a couple of years and it seemed to work very well. But up here in Vermont it was hard to come by. I had to order it from Carlos and that was inconvenient. Then I decided to go backwards and bought some T7-3F and tried that. I have used it in 3 different Knight Disc rifles with 209 primers. After the 2nd shot I started to have a crud ring. Really was not that much of a problem tho. In my new Disc extreme even tho I have a 3 methods, disc, bare primer, etc. I have gone one step further back and use #11 caps for ignition. Works as well as Blackhorn and also have no crud ring problem. I do swab between shots with an Alcohol patch followed by two dry patches. I will shoot 2" groups and 200 yards using 120gr of T7-3F, 260gr PT Gold with CR sabot. I am happy with this and will not go back to BH209. It is a good powder but just not for me.
