I don't think it was Bergara, because the receiver is done too.

CVA was good about my loose spot too. They gave me the paperwork to send the gun back. I might do it after the hunt.
I was talking in general. It seems that so many things now days just doesn't measure up to the quality I remember years ago. I got stuff that is 50 years old and still works versus junk nowdays that hardly lasts anytime at all.

True, but it's with everybody. I called TC with more problems than CVA. Actually, this is the first time i've called CVA about a problem.

Ever notice how everybody knows TC has good customer service? How do they know this.

I know what you mean though. Old stuff was pretty reliable, or we weren't as fussy back then.

Left a bad taste for me. If it wasn't for Carlos I would of never had a complete gun together.

I'm glad their customer service has improved. My ordeal was a few years ago and they treated me like I was a moron and they weren't willing to do anything. After 3 attempts I decided to give up and it has soured me every since on CVA. If it wasn't for that bad experience I probably would like to try the MR. But every time I hear CVA I think about my experience all over again.

Same reason I won't buy a TC. Among other reasons.

Mine was like a year and half ago? I actually got an Apex after my experience but I knew that Carlos would take care of me and that I wasn't dealing with CVA. It does sound like their customer service of lately is getting better though.

There's a Western BP in my MR, but I didn't pay for it.

btw I did hunt with the standard BP when the CVA BP was available. I wasn't hunting in Africa though.
Interesting. I didn't know there was a different BP made especially for BH209 powder? I did have some problems with another gun and the guys at BH told me to use a stronger/hotter 209 primer.

Who is selling these breech plugs?

CVA and Western Powders (blackhorn209) sells them. I hear the one from Western Powders is better.
