What do you use for Range Rest?

This is pretty close to the set-up that I use for sighting in and for testing loads. It lets the gun recoil like it should and the point of aim is not different than when I shoot off-hand. If I clamp or hold a gun down the point of impact seems to change for me when shooting a gun off-hand.

I'm with Muley on this one for black powder I don't care for bench sighting for a muzzle loader and have all but come to the conclusion of building a free standing bench for the standing position for sighting one in. It would feel more natural.

Amen. I use my range rests for one reason only and that is to work up the right loads. Once I figure out what my loads will be I will then shoot off hand or just rest my elbows on the table. All our treestands have rails and this acts as a great rest.
If I had my own range I would be a little more real like shooting in a kneeling position or rested up against a tree or limb. Practicing shooting from a standing and sitting position is worth the time to do.
