Hunter's Sky
We saw it for the first time this year. It is a pleasant sight; it tells us the season is nigh. Then the next thing is, at 4700' it was 38 degrees, and that seemed cold to one wearing shorts, and a t-shirt, but was taken as a sign.
Hunter's sky, no doubt means many things to many people, but to us primitive sky watchers, it is when see Pleiades, and Orion in the predawn sky. This is what we see before dawn throughout the hunting season. I saw them for the first time this year! We also use the seven sisters aka Pleiades, as a gauge for how clear the air is, because it is dim, and can only be seen when the sky isn't polluted by light or whatever. It is particularly bright when seen from hunting camp. Yes indeed, i saw the hunter's sky.
