You got that right. If I had to drag a deer or bear 2 miles it better be all down hill or I'm gonna eat the darn thing right there.

I refuse to let age get to me, mabey someday and Im sure it will, but a season or so ago I shot 2 big does, 121 and 126lbs and I dragged both out on the snow with my MLer 2 miles to my truck.
The best part was when I got to my truck my buddy called me on my cell and said you want us to come help drag them out??? I told him I was already at my truck with both of them in the bed.
I felt the same way at 50, but 20 more years convinced me i'm old.

A two-mile drag? A two-mile drag? Dang Breechplug, you're insane.

I'm with Bronko. If I had to drag a deer two miles I'd just set up camp and start eating.

Would you please stop posting those beautiful pictures of Colorado? It's making me very depressed down here! Most things look a bit burnt and crispy around here. Oh, and stop talking about how cool the mornings are there. It starts in the high 70's to low 80's around here!

Muley,

Looks beautiful. What part of CO were these pictures taken? General area is fine, I'm not looking for your secret spots.

I only hunt the unit I live in. (481) These pictures are at about 11,300ft. I have a lot more if you guys want to see them.

Except the dark timber picture. That's just 10minutes away from where I live at 8300ft.

Muley and Mountain Devil, show more Colorado Mountain pics.

It's 109F here today headed for about 111. On Wed, Thur and Fri it hit 113F. There are 2" wide cracks in the lawn. Most of the ponds are bone dry. Saw a farmer discing a field today; the 25mph wind was blowing his soil away.
