remember the bullets this time, wish I just left them at home

I forgot the cast bullets I was going to shoot the last time out. remembered them this time. needless to say I should just forgot them again.
only shot 10, both sets where with wads. thinner felt and the other was a think felt. all over the place. they bullets where beyond slip fit. if it was not for the lube they would of slide right down the bore. did not have any key holes
the other bullet I shot was a lee 452-250 (dropping at 260gr and sized to 451) with a harverster smooth side sabot. only got to shot 5. storms moved in.
all charges where 60grs of t7 3f, and cci mag #11
also took my nagant out to sight it in with milsurp 147gr ball.
spread on the target 501, upright, 4 rounds of 7.62x54r (put on in the big hole made by the .501 bullet), 3 shots center where the lee 452-250 w/harvester smooth sides. had a really bad flinching problem today. don't know if I was just tired from remolding to 1am then being at work at 6am. but I am going to throw the other two rounds out that was part of the set.

only thing I left today was a hammer to drive my target stand into the ground. thank god for rocks

.501 seems awful small for a .50 cal. And you are compounding the problem by using wad to cushion the bullet base. I'd give these bullet a wrap of teflon and try them again without an overpowder wad. And a 60 gr charge is no reason to flinch. Come on Corey, ya gotta bear down and squeeze that trigger.

like I said, it just could of been because I was tired. both mentally and physically. hoping when phase one of the remodel is done I get some rest.
cva barrels are about the .501. I am going to paper patch the bullets. just need to order the sizing die for them. then try them like that. I am going to keep working with the sabots. they are showing real promise.

well, I think I was just having a bad day. while cleaning, I took my scope off, to pull the nipple. I lost one of the screws. looked for about an hour or two. could not find it. hit wally world (side note:they are setting up for hunting season going to stock up on win #11). picked up a set of rings. I don't like the weavers they carry. so I went to a local hardware store and matched the screw up.
