People are mighty nervous about the world situation and our lousy government. They are arming at a rate never seen before. Gun shows are packed when I go. I attended a conceal carry class Friday. There were 20 people on a Friday there. He had 38 scheduled the next day. There were 2 woman in there that probably had only shot a gun once or twice which seemed kind of crazy to me. Now that the Aurora shooting has occurred watch for gun control folks to go nuts.Just think; if a conceal carry person could of carried into that theater he would possibly of been dropped after a few shots.

thats right in a smoked filled darkened theater with people running for cover and screaming and the perp wearing body protection. Might have gotten lucky and had him stand over you so you could have shot him in the nuts instead of shooting a by stander.
Pig fly to right!!!

Everything I read after they sensationalism died down said it was not a true body armor but a heavy vest carrying multiple mags. The reason these attacks are so easy is that he walked into defenseless sheep. He surrendered when faced with the first gun pointed at him. I'm not saying there was any perfect answer but I seriously doubted he would of gone in there if there was a chance of him being shot. I may be wrong but I think the death count of wounded would of been much lower. I love the respect some guys shows for someones opinion by the when pigs fly reply.

Both the U.N. treaty and the Aurora shooting must have something to do with the increased purchases and CCW class attendance - not that they weren't already high to begin with.
I do not want to get too political in a non-political forum but one of the many positives of the increased gun purchases is that it becomes increasingly bad for democrats to push anti-gun legislation.

I'm with Deer655. Under even the worst of circumstances, had there been a half dozen licensed concealed carry citizens in that theater the results would have been significantly less devastating. Someone would have stopped it sooner. It may have been bad anyway - but not as bad.
