Default Rem 700 W/ Powderhorn

I just recieved my Cabelas powderhorn scope in the mail monday and been waiting for a chance to shoot it. I took it out today and put it on my Rem 700 at 100 yards it shot pretty good. I got the scope dialed in using select pyrodex pwder then when i got to 100 i switched to 777 and after being right in the middle in shot about 4 inches high. Does 777 shot that much faster than pryodex??? then i had a milk jug for fun out at 175 yards and put it just between the 2 and 3 lines on the bdc reticle it just shot high...then it started raining so i picked up.. All in all im pretty impressed with set up. shoots great at 100yrds with 325gr barnes expanders using 110 gr of 777 and for 50$ on sale i think the scope was a steal.

Changing to 777 will kick the POI up with many bullets, compared to Pyrodex. Sounds like a great set up you have.

Pretty much... but probably what it really changed was your barrel's 'harmonics' or barrel whip. Normally you can figure 10-15% more pressure with T7-2f than with the Pyrodex powders.
