Hey! It just dawned on me. This is a CVA thread, and we have Knight owners in it bad mouthing the CVA.
Tit for tat boys. It's all fair game now. |

buy a western powders bh209, the powder maker designed the plug for their stuff so you know it will be the best design for it. I've only had a handful of hang fires with the factory plug and that was just when i started shooting bh209.
tc owners on other forums continue to have hang fires as well but guess what, its due to not knowing about the carbon build up in the plugs and how to properly clean the plug. Clean the factory grease and oil out of the action and relube with a light spray of barricade and my triggers improvement is mind blowing. The Apex has the heaviest trigger out of all of them but thats due to it taking centerfire barrels, Don't want the accuras 1 1/2lb trigger pull on on that one i guess LOL |

Not bad mouthing anything. simply responding factually to your post. And I am a Knight, T/C,White,Remington,Traditions,Pedersoli, Lyman,CVA owner, but do prefer Knights.
I find it really really hard to believe anybody who says the CVA trigger has creep. Sorry, but it's not my experience, or my local gun shop owners either. He raves about the trigger, and sells a ton of CVA's. He's also a gunsmith. I'll say it again. Anybody who's interested in a CVA. Just go somewhere that sells them, and try the trigger. Don't take my, or anybody else's opinion on a forum. Just saying. |

I do agree that the triger and the hammer on the T/C,s are really bad, and then you have to buy new springs and a over sized barrle pin to make them ok. thats what i had to do, so all and all i guess i just like to hear my self bitch.
check out the step by step to adjusting the head space on a cva. This is a pretty long video that i did so if you have time and want to see how easy it is to do and the results, this shows it all before and after. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=seES2...2&feature=plcp |

Tit for tat boys. It's all fair game now. The ironic thing about the Mountaineer trigger is it is truly fully adjustable. As Chet mentioned it arrives just about perfect. Myself, i have never touched mine; it is so nice. Now, keep in mind, i never said the Accura has a bad trigger; it does have a wee amount of creep. |
Doe's the creep in the Accura v2 trigger bother any one or would you just live with it the way it is??

Don't assume it has any. ;)
Does yours? Or assume the possibility exists that it might , like some have said, get one and find out it doesn't. Then you will be ecstatic because like MD and Muley you got the perfect Accura . |
if anyone wants to complain about triggers, go buy a remington or a mossberg and then you can complain! Muzzleloaders these days come with better triggers than centerfires
