Not quite, I want to know if Mike has personally verified this claim... "With the FPJ capped and a muzzle mitt on the barrel throw hole darn thing in a river come back a week later - It will fire no problem."

I would never throw one of my wonderful CVA rifles into the river. ;)

I have and I did - but it was a water trough at the farm... Only the barreled action went in and it was only for a weekend... Out of the trough into the stock.... Pulled the muzze mitt to make sure the barrel was not full of water pulled the trigger and boom... Now I always wish I had aimed at something to see if I could have hit....

It was stainless - water doant hurz it... but I did woory about the trigger... But no problems after it were cleaned..

MAX already showed that cva can handle being dunked into water and still go off. Adjust the "head space" like I do on mine, and it will actually hold air. That is of course if you used patched balls as conicals and sabots dont completely fill the rifling.

I think its a great idea. Usually I see the most deer when I don't have a rifle with me so if I throw my gun in the river a week before hunting season I think I can really fool them. You come up with the bestest ideas Pete.
