Lyman problem

I got the perfect 'fix'. The black vinyl edging for gardens/walkways, etc. I took off the butt plate, cut a piece of edging off the roll and laid it against the stock and traced the outline then cut it with a pair of scissors slightly larger. Added a dab of Elmers glue and reinstalled the butt plate. Carefully trimmed off the excess with a razor blade. The combination of glue and pressure from the butt plate holds it in place firmly. Its not going anywhere. And you can't even notice it.
All the other wood-metal fit is fine.
