This morning I decided to cast some of the UC Shorts. That Lee mold has been a little more of a challenge for me. The first time I used it I was getting a lot of rejects and I think that is because things were not hot enough. The second time I think I got the mold too hot. This time I tried to discipline myself into waiting a little bit longer before refilling the mold. The mold seems more tempermental, maybe because it heats up and cools down faster than the cast iron mold. Things went a bit better but I think about 25 percent of them went back in the pot.

very nice job. What do your conical bullets weigh? Just curious. And do you size them at all?

Dave, I should be getting a scale in the mail this week. I am anxious to see what they weigh and how consistant they are.
I have a .504 sizing die. . I might get another one at .503.
