I thought you were? You brought up shooting better groups.

Would that be from a bench with a scope? I've competed in a few different kinds of competitions, but bench shooting never appealed to me.

I competed in trap shooting in the 70's. That was pretty fun, and I was a trap bum for 4 years, and making a living off of it. I didn't get rich, but I had a good time. Developed a pretty good flinch, and had to go to a release trigger.

Now my only competition is BP shoots. Old school mountain man era shoots. Sidelocks, BP, and PRB's. Off hand to 125 yds. Mostly gongs. Just a lot of fun. Not serious. Dress like a mountain man and blow a lot of smoke.

Not munch on shooting from a bench. I do a lot of coyote hunting so I've developed a nak for shooting prone. But over the years I've became more attached to shooting my bow at long distance. Shot a whitetail last season from 60 yards.

I've done a bunch of coyote hunting myself. I get rid of them for the ranchers near me, and they give me a voucher for deer/elk. Pretty good trade.

I'm kind of old to start something new, but I have a real itch to try bow hunting. I don't think I can resist until I scratch it.

I don't think I can stop myself Jon. The month long season is too hard to pass up. Plus it's a much easier tag to get than ML.

I don't have to wear blaze orange either.

You might be able to get a cross bow license since you are almost crippled

I already have one. I can use a scoped crossbow during archery season if I choose to.

I'll have to think if I want to go that way. I know it won't be popular with the other bow hunters. Not that being popular has ever been a concern of mine.
