Default Elite Does Its Job

Yesterday morning drizzle 46* around 90 yds saw a flicker of white while still hunting picked up scope and saw a deer. It was about to behind a blow down and I kinda rushed the shot. When smoke cleared I made out the deer going uphill couldnt tell if it was hit. Itried to locate where he was when I shot but with every thing wet I couldnt be sure so I started criss crossing the area I thought he went looking for blood.I wasnt seeing any sign of a hit anywhere for the hell of it I looked for the densest area nearby and started looking I thought I caught a glimpse of white but lost it while making my way over to where I thought it was.I was about to give up and sit for a while ,I did a 360 look around before going back and saw the deer dwn about 35 yds from me. I was surprised to see it was a buck that had dropped his horns already but was still happy more for the freezer. I was using my Disc Elite with 100 gr BH and 250gr Deep Curls. Still have time to use the Accura for the next one hopefully good year for me so far 2 with bow and 1 so far with muzzie.

Congratulations on a nice deer. That should be some excellent eating. And way to hang in there and look for it. Sometimes you just have to think like a deer to find one.

Good going gman. Is that the entry wound just above the right leg? What kind of wound channel did you get?

Gongrats and that young buck will be good eating. I'm not surprised about them losing their antlers already. I found a 4 pt shed between Christmas and New Years here in PA.
A little surprised about the statement you made seeing a flicker of white and looking thru the scope. Pretty dangerous my friend. It could have been some bonehead with a white handerchief (or me taking a dump in the woods). And I sure know I wouldn't want a 50 cal suppository. You're much safer using binos to verify.
