Thanks for the story and sharing. Sounded like you had lots of fun. The best part is being with your son. He will remember that hunt forever!!!

The weather was really rough as the windchill was minus 12 . I ended up wimping out sleeping in the truck , which was still cold .

Sounds like a real interesting trip and yes a camper with a good heater is a good idea in that cold of weather.the big cats are thick in our area, due to a no hunt(tree hugger) law passed 30 years ago here.i have had friends stalked by them and sightings in broad daylight are common.

This was taken by my trail cam in October of 2010.the camera was there for 10 days and this is the only animal the cam snapped a picture of.what's troubling is the year before there were deer all over this canyon, including a really big buck and some smaller bucks.

Great story. I have friends that run them with dogs here in Montana. Makes me want to take them up on the offer to tag along.
