Now THAT is funny!

Tip!

Check out the recoil pad... you see the 2 holes that hold it onto the stock? Yuuuuup! The perfect primer carrier in the field when you need the primer quickly.

You shoot those 200gr Scorpions yet in any .45?

Man, that sucks MM. I have not had that happen specifically, but can feel your pain. Once I spotted a doe and worked for about an hour or so to creep into position on her. I finally got a good window about 20 yards from her (as she was in some thick stuff), and "click!" -- light primer strike from my slug gun. I was pissed, but it was for the better because she had two fauns on her. Now I would not take a shot on a doe that produces twins; I would just take one of the twins!

I do the same as MD. Always have two or three primers in the spaces of the recoil pad. And I always, always prime my gun the second I am dressed and am on my way into the woods. I probably wouldn't do that with a bolt gun, but there's no way the hammer on my Omega is going to "accidentally" get kocked.
