Actually guys the bullet did not exit on the first shot. The buck had ran up about 75 yards and was qtr slightly to me, I know I should have waited but I have shot a lot of deer in my life and I have made a numerous of shots such as this, secondly, this buck was aged at 5 1/2, and I knew he was mature, with this being said, these bucks just don't usually walk off, they bolt, and with him looking at me, I decided not to take any chances. At any rate, I put it on the opposite front shoulder in the pic and it did hit a little high. The LeHigh seperated just like it was suppose to and it made mass destruction out of the deers insides. He went over 200 on the hoof.

Great shot, and thanks for the follow up reply. I was leaning towards a quartering to shot, with the way the belly is swelled up, you could tell it's guts were hit.

I just can't believe with that much damage that the deer was still alive, long enough for you to get down and cover 100-150yds. sometimes their will to live, suprises me.

5 1/2 they must be smaller where you are from. It doesn't look a day over 3, in my neck of the woods.

Geat deer. Congratulations. I want one of each. The Mountaineer and a deer like that. Not sure we grow them like that here in Florida.
