Mike it's great news that knight will be offering synthetic stocks on more rifles. if they would also offer there rifles blued, instead of just SS. i really feel they would increase there sales.that's a nice looking rifle you got there.looked at the leupold U S scopes and i like everything about them, except for the circle around the 100 yd cross hairs and the way it touches the 150 yd dot.still partial to the Bushnell DOA set up

I really agree with you on all points...

The U-Slam reticule is really pretty busy - especially for shooting targets, but I have found it very comfortable in the hunting situation when i am not focused on a 50 cent piece. I do not use all of the lines in the scope as I sight in with a 6" PBR - so basically it is the main cross hair and the second line line down.

The DOA reticule is much cleaner

Wow that's a Sweet Looking MLer and a Shooter too! I really like the looks of it. I've been Seriously Considering getting a Knight, and that one looks like it could be the one, what's the Barrel Length? Im not one for the Thumbhole but I also Prefer the Synthetic Stocks. What Camp Pattern is on the Stock? Is the Lehigh/Bloodline a New Bullet? could you Post a Pic of it?
What's the Cost of one of them Mike? I know what the Leupold USMLS Cost as I have one. was it a Package Deal. And the Barrel is Stainless right? Sorry for all the questions but If Im going to consider a Knight I want to know all I can from someone like You who has a few of them.
Enjoy Your New MLer!

I really did not need or even want to get a new Knight... the ones that I had were and are working just fine. But I really liked the looks and the fluting on the barrel. Then when they said I could get it with a composite thumbhole - I changed my mind, and I agree with you I think it looks nice and it does appear that it is going to be a good shooter.

Knight moved the barrel length to 27" I could have done without that but it seems that is what a lot of folks wanted. The 26" barrel served me just fine.

I never ever thought i would use a TH to hunt with but it really has grown on me and now is very comfortable - I also believe it provides a bit more consistent accuracy.

Is the Lehigh/Bloodline a New Bullet? could you Post a Pic of it?
They are the same, well not quite, bullet that Lehigh has made in the past, but Knight has contracted Lehigh to make bullets for them so Lehigh bullets are not long available from Lehigh.

These are 458's but the 250 is very simular...

I had a 20% discount coupon and the change of stock also helped reduce the cost from what is posted on Knight. The scope added most of it back as they(Knight) adds about $200 back on for that - but again the 20% came off the entire order.

And the Barrel is Stainless right?
10-4 Stainless Green Mountain barrel and under the contract Knight tightened the tolerances on the bore and the BP cavity.

Sorry for all the questions but If Im going to consider a Knight I want to know all I can from someone like You who has a few of them.
Enjoy Your New MLer!

Gee Sabot, I wonder how it will shoot once it gets broken in! Very nice. But those Thumbhole stocks are useless to me being a southpaw.

Yep! being left handed you are a part of the population (12%) that gets often ignored.... I am left handed also but somehow I learned to shoot right handed... part of that was probably a baseball coach that made me hit from both sides of the plate and my grandfather that taught me to shoot...
