What about the Guy's that were Aiming for the Lungs and Hit the Shoulder and Lost the Deer, or were Aiming for the Heart and Hit the Leg, or just missed there Aim and got the Stomache. Anything can happen on any shot and there's too many outcomes that ar'nt good. Im sure Every Hunter was Aiming for the Vitals when they Shot, if it was a Bad Shot it was just that a Bad Shot, You can Aim where ever you want that you think will take out the Animal, but if your off there's nobody to Balme but you and it was'nt because you were aiming for the Heart, Lungs, or Neck that caused the Misfortune, it was your bad Shot.

If someone is a bad shot. They need to hit the range. Not go hunting and hope for the best.

Myself, i love the hunt. When we were first married we were poor poor poor. We lived on elk and deer then. Now we mostly eat deer meat. My favorite shot is a broad side lung shot. The hand full of deer i shot face on in the lower neck dropped right now right there. The elk i shot in the tail bone dropped right now right there. The first deer i ever killed, was done in by one shot from a 22 long rifle in the ear.
The one and only shot i ever plan on taking is a broadside lung shot. However i will take any shot necessary to put meat in the freezer. I don't pass on any shot i think i can make. We eat meat all year; i can only hunt for the duration of the hunting season. I do like to have deer come home with me, unless they are gut shot. I love the hunt.

At 20-30yds I can take out the Eyeball, if not I better quit Hunting, and if you have to worry about hitting a 10" Spot then you better go back to the range and Practice more. When Im sighted in I settle for nothing less than a 2" Spot and that's at 175-200yds. By the way how many Booners have you taken since that last one? And I have Never Known a Hunter that has Never had a Bad Shot on a Deer, it has Happened to ALL of US weather we admit to it or not, you know the one that Keeps You Awake all night just wondering and feeling Sick to Your Stomache. The Bad Shot makes Us All a Better Hunter and makes us take the Best Shot Only on any Animal from then on out because of that bad Shot. You must be the Perfect Hunter, Sorry but I felt a little Sarcasim in your last Comment.
Oh and I have two booners and 3 pope and young bucks on my wall. One is all it would take to do what less than 1% will ever do. How many you got?

Yes, I'll take a vitals shot any time. But if some schlickhead is winking at me at 30yds and I have a doe tag scratchin my azz in my back pocket.. "KAPOWEEEEEE!!!!" I have some dragging to do.

i usaly dont shoot in the neck if the deer is facing me i will shoot it in the chest and i will still hit the vitals i am using a 12 gauge shot gun though so it leaves a pretty big hole every deer i shot at there i find i try and wait for a broadside but if the deer sees me and is facing i will shoot it just to fill the freezer
