Wow, i really thought I would get a bite on this Muzzleloader in the classifieds. People must not want them as bad as we think.
Any way beings it looks like i will be keeping it, what Primer are you guys using? I tried some cci209m and they were a mess. the bolt face was filthy. Switched to a federal 209A less dirty but, they are hard to get them into the BP and back out. You can not get them to fit with your fingers, it takes the bolt to force them in and drag them out.

I have zero problems as well, and with the tape my threads are almost spotless. makes the BP area alot easier to clean. My old disc actually will have blow back without tape.

I imagine the mountaineer is more difficult to clean as is my Wolverine. i bought a synthetic brush and BC bore scrubber, it makes cleaning it a lot quicker.the Triumph is a snap to clean up..

x2. I had trouble with the CCI's, the Remington STS, and no luck with the Federals either. I have found some of the time that the W209's will stick after being fired and then I just refire the spent primer and it usually falls out then.
I always thought part of the mystic about muzzleloading was the smoke, smell and mess?? I actually enjoy cleaning up my muzzy after a round of shooting, it doesn't bother me too bad at all. The easier the better but it really just part of shooting this type of equipment??
