Default knight bullets question

I shoot the factory Knight sabots .50/260 in my mk-85

This one:

Does anyone know what actual bullet and sabot it is? Curious. Getting ready to do some shooting...I was thinking it would probably be alot cheaper to pick up bullets and sabots separately, than pay the factory price for a 20pack. (They don't seem to be readily available anymore for cheap like they used to ... #900183 is the factory knight part #)

Thanks

Not sure what they are but you can get 50 packs on here: http://www.gunaccessories.com/knight...letsSabots.asp

My bad that's only 50 packs of the sabots and 20 packs of the bullets. Sorry

Looks like a Speer handgun bullet.

That would be my guess also. But Speer doesn't list it as a hunting bullet.

Good picture here: http://www.speer-bullets.com/ballist...il.aspx?id=208

I looked at Remington, Hornady, Sierra, Winchester and Nosler sites. None of them list a 260 grain bullet in either .44 or .45 caliber.

Thanks guys.

Yep, that looks like it might be it. Looks exactly the same. Interesting they don't list it as a "hunting" bullet. I know they work well, everything I've ever shot with them are dead and pretty quick. The accuracy out of my gun is outstanding also.

What other bullet/sabot combination might you suggest I try? I shoot 100gr of Pyrodex RS and #11's. I'm willing to experiment, but would like to stay close to what I have right now.

Thanks
