    The scope i have on mine has been passed from several different guns, its a baush & lomb elite 3000 4x12. This scope has never let me down.

    I've always found that batteries and hunting gear are a bad deal... I don't want to rely on a battery for my gun to go off. Corrode, die, forget an extra... JMHO.
