You want to hunt with a crossbow? Check out the PSE Tac15.400+FPS. 3" groups @ 100 yds. You better get a good hold on your wallet.

Stick with a good fixed head in a good heavy weight for them elk. no way would i throw a Rage at a thick skinned beast such as an elk. Muzzy makes about one of the best if not the best heads in a fixed, for the price.

The Rage is a good broadhead if it hits soft tissue. If it hits the shoulderblade,it will not penetrate like a Muzzy.

How about this? More than I want to spend, but I only want to buy once and stay with it.

YES! I shoot my son's Excalibur, what a dream!!! 3.5 pound trigger--no creep, You have to shoot a different target with each arrow, cause we kept "Robin Hooding " the knocks and flechings

3inch groups at 50yards for this 51year old fart
He uses the Rage Expander, and it works excellent!!

Muley, Sorry to hear about your ailments. But as long as you find an avenue to be able to hunt I am happy for you. I personally don't care what someone uses as long as its legal.
I 've heard that the Excaliber X-bows are pretty good. And they have recurve limbs. They are a little wider but reports are good on them.
