I wish they were the Maxima ring set. It's the cheap aluminum T/C rings.

I do think it will be okay but I need to fire it to be sure.I never buy aluminum rings but this was a I need them now deal. I got them at W*M. They are T/C rings and base.

As for loaning guns out. Guns amongst other things I will not loan out to anyone. People don't take care of your stuff like you do. I've learned that the hard way a few times. Another thing if it's a modern gun in my name it's stays in my possession. The only one that takes a gun of mine in my name is the wife.

Most decent scopes are pretty rugged. I remember many many years ago I had a Rem 760 carbine with a 4X Weaver scope on it. It was a cold Dec day, about 6" snow on the ground. I came down the mountain cradeling the rifle in my hand without any incident. As I got to the dirt road, I slid the sling onto my shoulder took one step and my feet went out from under me like they were yanked out. I landed with all my weight on the rifle. The scope had a ding that was so big, you could rest a dime on it about 1/2" from the front lens. When I got back to the camp, I set up a target and fired 2 shots. That scope was right on
