I was amazed at the accuracy of my fomer Tracker 209. I sold it at a Armament function this summer when I upgraded to a T/C Omega. Guys there started shooting it -- then they started fighting over who would buy it after I announced it was for sale. They decided to hold a raffle. I paid $99 for that rifle -- got $165 in the raffle.
It shot 2" groups at 75 yards -- furthest I ever shot it. Best load was 100 grains 777 with 300 Precision QT sabot. I only owned the rifle for six months. Bought it for emergency use the night before muzzleloading season. My dog knocked over my former " just cleaned" Pedersoli Rolling Block 54 -- destroyed the plunger pin that ignites the #11 cap.
I added 1-1/2 lbs by filling the stock with two bolts & Great Stuff foam spray. It turned that mule-kickin' rifle into a much more tolerable shooter. I replaced that nasty high-profile front sight with a Willliams sight. If you don' t... a V-shaped tree twig will rip it off... guaranteed!!!!

PA Redneck,
Right now the new Dunham' s ad is showing the CVA Hunterbolt model again for $129. I picked one up during one of their other sales in Mechanicsburg. It has the quick release stainless steel bolt, easy clean feature. There' s a bullet guide cut into the muzzle to properly align the bullet so it goes in straight, and it does have the tru-glow sights. During testing with sabots, powerbelts and maxi' s, it loves maxi' s the best. The 320gr Lee R*E*A*L bullet to be exact with 90gr Pyrodex.
Nice gun for not much money, it' s more than adequate for our October season.

Are you saying Traditions has bad service? Go to Realtree.com and read the bad trigger thread from today. [email protected] sent this guy a new trigger assembly one hour after he emailed Traditions. The last time I ordered something from them, I received it in 72 hours.

I can not say Traditions has bad customer service at all. I was having trouble with my brand new out of the box Traditions Woodsman Hawkins. It would not always fire the caps. I called the place I bought it, and the store played the " not our problem game." I then called Traditions Arms Company. I spoke to the first person who had no knowledge of my rifle being an office employee, but they did transfer me to the head gunsmith. He had me hang up and then called me back. After we talked for over a half an hour trying different things, he asked that I mail the rifle to them. I had it back in a little over a weeks time, fixed, cleaned and tuned. This rifle is an excellent shooting rifle, and I have to this day always recommended Traditions to people that asked about them.

I' d agree w/ the last two guys. I have emailed Traditions some questions regarding loads, powder etc and always had a response w/i hours.
I also called them once and had great service over the phone as well.
