Oh no......smokeless !!

GM54-120 was a little worried since my group last Friday hit a tad to the right. Thanks Scott, you gave me a reason to hit the range again today. :D 100yd 3 shot group using 200gr SST's and the forbidden powder.....:happy0157:

I guess I could live with that.

You missed the diamond this time LOL. Great shooting Steve:cool15:.

Looks like you are ready for ML SEASON now. ;)

That small amount off at 100 would have been quite a bit off out at 300 yards. Ive got at least one dialed in for upto 250 yards (if needed) to use during the ML SEASON.. :D I should have the Pacnor 45 dialed in soon for anything longer than that.... if i don't tag out during the firearms season in my county.

I told you Re7 is kinda nice for the price. $22lb isnt bad for a extruded double based powder. I wish it was as clean as N110 but oh well...its $9 cheaper a pound and makes milder pressures. My 60gr loads were roughly 2600fps and the sabots looked better than ones from 120gr of BH209.

Sure is nice to come home and just put it away till next time...... Well besides a quick wipe down and checking the vent liner for wear. :D

GM54-120,

I got ripped off! I paid $24.99 for a pound of R7. :sad0064:

H4198 was cheaper. I plan to play some more with it after the season.

I get mine from the same friend that sells me the 325gr FTX for $36/100. Otherwise it would be close to the same as you paid. Cabelas has it on sale now for $21.49lb.

Nope.

Remington 700ML action, Hunter bolt conversion, McGowen .45 barrel and a Boyds TH laminated stock.

You can build them on either action and both have their benefits. IMO the Rem700 conversion makes a better hunter and WAY more aftermarket stuff. The Savage is heavier and and its easy to head space it yourself when swapping barrels. Current Rem700ML's pricing have jumped a lot recently just because they are now the 45 SML rage.

The 45s are really cool because its easy to down load them into the mid BH209 range with really low amounts "book" powders or crank them up well past 2800fps with larger amounts of slower burners. Plus you can shoot some 45s sabotless if you want to get fancy. Even BH209 can produce some excellent sabotless speeds.
